Yes, whatever they did yesterday DID indeed correct the issue. I went ahead and changed the login in ECP for my userID back to the old invalid domain, then deleted the account in Outlook Mobile, and re-added it. It works either with example\userid in the username field or example in the Domain field and userID in the username field, with example NOT being the domain name of the email address. In short, the email address does NOT need to match the userID/domain combo anymore.
I also noticed that the version number of the Outlook Mobile client off PlayStore is now 4.2411.0

As for the OWA issues for my org:
Printing calendars works
Adding an additional calendar works by doing add calendar search directory from OWA; I have not tried it from the published calendar URL
Seach in inbox works
I don't know if this matters but when we installed our current Exchange server 2/18, it was an upgrade from whatever Exchange was current under 2008R2 server, and we did a mailbox migration from that server. Since that time the server has never gone down hard, so there should be no corruption in the mailbox database.
