The_Exchange_Team In case you are hearing of any other reports of this particular behavior: I was installing (reinstalling?) the February SU on a server and when the SU reported that it was "stopping services," it didn't actually stop services, or maybe stopped just one Exchange service... and then it proceeded with the installation while the Exchange services were running. Is that normal? I ended up letting the February SU complete and then uninstalled it (reverting to January SU). I then stopped the service for our Exchange backup agent, Cylance (antivirus), SMS, www, iisadmin, and all Exchange services using: get-service | ?{$_.Name -ilike “MSexch*”} | stop-service (and one other service I can't remember) and then reinstalled the February SU. That seems to have worked.
We are running Exchange 2016 CU 23 on Windows Server 2012 R2.
Hi ksanch777 , Did you do the EWS fix? That is what fixed Outlook search and Mac/EWS for us.
A_MO1 You may be seeing that if you haven't configured Extended Protection. I see the same thing when I run the Health Checker and I haven't configured Extended Protection.
