My mentioned problem with not syncing cached shared mailboxes in Windows XP is a follow-up error of the broken public folders.
Outlook stops creating caching connections to the server after the failed attempt to connect to the PF store. If I manipulate the MAPI Profile so that PF would not be accessed, shared Mailbox synchronization works again.
So we need to get the PF thing fixed...
