i try all the combinations possible for the LmCompatibilityLevel between the client and the server (1 ,2 ,3 ,4 in client and server side) ,and still some users not able to log in , keep outlook asking for password.
i found if i delete the whole folder %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Outlook and try to access outlook again , it asks for password , when i enter it , it asks again for password , if i cancel the second password prompt , the outlook close , then if i reopen it , it opens and connect again to exchange server without problem .
when it connect it use NTLM as auth .
there is no such problem before i enable the "extended protection" in the exchange server .
all the clients use outlook 2019 and some with win 10 and some win 11
