As Ron Ron and others have explained, out here in the real world people ask questions about things like what changes will PrepareAD make. Seems more than reasonable as businesses rely on these systems and they're generally not used for peoples hobbies or amusement.
As usual the on-prem blog posts continue to disappoint and I think that many of us wince when we see a new CU/SU post as we wonder what sorts of grief it will bring to us (March SU and many others). We were told that "PrepareAD prepares the Active Directory..." thanks a lot for that information. We were also told that "It's hard to say what exactly will be done in your environment... PrepareAD will correct anything...". No one is asking what will be "corrected" but what will change so that we can inform the business who have a right to ask and understand what is being done to their $ystems.
In this case PrepareAD makes changes that require sufficient permissions for the installer and the version of ObjectVersion (Configuration) changes to 16762. So its not plausible that the developers that created CU14 have absolutely no clue what PrepareAD might change in the code that they wrote and maintain. So from all of this we can deduce that the net response to your customers is basically "we don't know what changes PrepareAD makes in CU14, we can't be bothered to find out, we don't understand why your business would ask and if you want to know, go figure out yourself what changes are being made" Thanks a lot.
