Nino_Bilicbasing on my previous question:
please confirm: does running the unattended setup.exe without any switches or the GUI wizard only enable Extended Protection *only* on the server being installed? I ask because
I'm migrating from Exchange 2013 with Public Folders on it. Enabling EP it would make them unreachable.
So, either I leave EP enabled only on 2019 until I complete the PF migration (if you confirm the above) or I run the unattended setup with the switch to not enable EP at all.
You already replied that the setup just enable EP on the server being installed. That is good.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1571164/public-folders-exchange-server-2019-extended-prote that by leaving EP disabled on Exchange 2013 during the coexistence with 2019 with EP enabled I *should not* have any problems with my Public Folders, since PF are on a server with EP disabled, but he is not sure. He also suggest to install Exchange 2019 without EP enabled just to be on the safest side. Are you by any chance aware of any problems with Public Folders in my scenario (EP disabled on 2013, EP enabled on 2019)? Thank you.
Thank you.
