Anyone had issues with installing the latest CU for both 2016 and 2019?
For me, the update has hung for hours or abruptly stopped during random steps.
A previous issue occurred during the "Preparing Files" step (while updating 2019 in completely different forest than the most recent issue).
The most recent issue was during the "Remove Exchange Files" step (2016 update). Had to restart server after no change with leaving it to its own devices overnight.
Then, during re-run, the setup failed immediately without warning on the "Check for Updates?" option. This specific issue occurred on multiple servers while installing both Exchange 2016 and 2019 updates. Oddly, only when "Don't check for updates right now" is selected does the update proceed.
Three servers, three separate environments ... all with an issue installing the latest CU. Fortunately, all of the servers were eventually updated "successfully" and are currently functional. I've got one more server to go and I'm not feel confident.
This makes for quite a stressful experience.
