Guessing that's it's 2 Exchange servers in DAG: you should move all databases to first (EX01) exchange, destroy DAG, remove all copies of replicated databases and go with regular uninstall. Install Exchange Tools with required config and then shutdown and archive your second exchange (EX02). Exchange attributes remain after removing Exchange Server. Only running ADCleanup removes those (which could also be done with ADSI Edit ).
