We’re thrilled to announce a major update to our Exchange Online Delicensing Resiliency feature – the feature will now be available to tenants over 5,000 non-trial Exchange Online licenses (down from the previous threshold of over 10,000 non-trial licenses).
Delicensing Resiliency helps ensure seamless operations by providing 30-day grace period upon license removal thus minimizing disruptions. It adds protection against accidental or unintended delicensing of Exchange Online mailboxes (usually due to mistakes in group-based license assignments).
This change is part of our ongoing commitment to make the powerful resiliency feature available to a broader range of large tenants, and it comes in direct response to feedback from many customers who were eager to leverage this feature but were previously below the eligibility threshold.
What does this mean for you?
If your WW tenant has over 5,000 non-trial Exchange Online licenses, you can now take advantage of the feature – helping improved fault tolerance in dynamic environments. We are in the process of updating the feature documentation to reflect this change.
We appreciate the continued feedback and collaboration from our user community. Your input drives our innovation.
Thank you for being a valued part of our community!
