MicrosoftWe have an Exchange 2016 environment. We have been holding off going to 2019 in hopes to get rid of the last Exchange server instead of having to deal with a legacy upgrade since it is so much work.
Is there any chance there will be additional news prior to the release of Exchange Server SE about removing the last Exchange server in a hybrid environment where all mailboxes have been moved to the cloud and mail relay/management are the only reasons for an on-premise server? I know there was the recent survey which I did fill out.
If we won't be able to get rid of the last server before then, like DavidYorkshire mentioned, will there be a lightweight version available?
