I did not see an answer to the question by Ron above that I am also looking for.
When we are required to change the username and email address of an end user in an Hybrid O365 configuration. What is the best practice for the targetAddress(Remote Routing Address) and mailNickName(Alias) attributes?
Specifically, should we change/update them, adding the old email address to catch any mail that may still be sent to the old address, or leave them in the original state and just add the additional email address needed and disable the address policy so the new address can be set as the Primary address?
NOTE: Our current email address policy makes the mailnickname/Alias the primary address and sets the remote mail address to the mailNickName@tennant.onmicrosoft.com)?
