To clarify, I appreciate your input and the time you took to offer solutions. I agree there are some good options out there, but I have somewhat of a niche carved out with some very specific internal and external requirements.
To put it into perspective, many of my customers were happy with Small Business Server for the last 15 years. So, to them, they're getting the "same" functionality but they went from a single-server deployment to having a server AND a management server AND a monthly recurring charge.
I get it and I can usually explain / discuss the cost. And again, if it's my customer and I'm managing the migration, it's an easy conversation to have and planning/execution goes well, but when I'm picking up the pieces it's way harder when I feel like I have to fight against perceptions, previous IT AND Microsoft.
