Mike, I'm not trying to show anything other than that many other consultants and I contacted Microsoft PSS many months ago and received no support on this issue in the first weeks that Windows Server 2008 was released. There is also still no official KB article that covers this bug and thus there are still many consultants who are wasting unnecessary days of their lives trying to figure out how to fix this problem on their own.
To conclude, I'm mostly upset that there isn't a true Microsoft KB admitting to this bug. After all, Exchange 2007 SP1 on Windows Server 2008 RTM is a supported configuration and yet one of the biggest components does not work in a standard install without some very hidden tweaking.
Side note to Mike, that other article doesn't have an update saying that the problem still exists in the Server 2008 RTM version.
