Very interesting. Just a question about steps 3 and 4. You mention the "Configuration Domain Controller". Why is this required instead of one from the list of working DCs? My understanding was that the Configuration DC was used for write operations (to prevent potential conflicts). But you're just reading configuration info at this point, so presumably any (suitable) DC would be sufficient?
