Works a charm
I had just posted a question on a newsgroup asking why on a full text indexed public folder - why will contacts be searched as a character by charcter search and not by word
Quite handy initially as it provided the search both by index AND by ordinary search - BUT as the contacts folder grew to 8000 records it became slower than a non index search.
Yoour solution works perfectly - thank you
I am looking forward to testing Outlook 2003 cache mode and comparing it's 'local' search with and without full text indexing on exchange
