Hey guys,
So after the change/update or w.e you want to call it; It appears that there has been a significant alteration in the way access rights to resources, such as rooms and equipment, are being managed.
As far as I know you can use exchange online admin center to set Send as, Send on behalf or read and manage (Full Access) and the way we used to do it; open the resource as another mailbox and set Scheduling permissions with AD groups. This option lets us further customize our approach to access rights. As some have said and found in docs, this option has moved so you have to login to your own mailbox and open another mailbox from there, so you need an office license on your admin account. Or use Powershell, which everyone isn't comfortable with.
To my point... It appears that Resource scheduling(Scheduling permissions) is becoming more prominent in how it manages access compared to Delegation. If there's a mismatch between delegation and scheduling permissions, the functionality may not work as intended. Scheduling permissions overrule Delegation.
Is this by design and is there documentation for this somewhere I haven't found?
