Great to see that you're updating the tool - it's a useful utility. But as far as I can tell the ActiveSync part hasn't been fully updated. It seems to be reporting version 12.0 (2007 RTM), so you're still a few iterations behind 2010 SP1. (Couldn't you based on the HTTP OPTIONS set the highest available level on your "device"?)
This means it still doesn't properly handle/report on issues related to security policies and provisioning. For instance I get HTTP 403 when I test against an Exchange 2010 SP1 box that doesn't allow non-provisionable devices. This is correct behaviour per the AS protocol, but it doesn't really give the user a good clue as to why FolderSync is failing.
