I am getting a message that KB 3154518 doesn't apply when I try to install it on my Server 2008 R2 SP1 server running Exchange 2010. Can you elaborate on this matter? Is it truly superseded by a later .NET 3.5.1 rollup?

    This is possible. On the server saying 3154518 does not apply please check the version of .NET installed. Is it a version equal to or higher than 2.0.50727.8690?

      Thank you Brian. I just got a chance to check, and the version is 2.0.50727.5420 according to the method described on Docs.microsoft.com at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/framework/migration-guide/how-to-determine-which-versions-are-installed.

      As a result, it does seem this post needs some further updating on the right update to deploy. Granted, this is not a crucial issue at this time since the deadline has been extended. Thank you
