@ThommyG, @Ridiculous, @Stephen Frost – I tracked down the status of the sync error bug. Stephen and Thommy, you are correct in how you characterized the bug: Outlook is basically spewing false positives about sync issues as it talks to Exchange. We know this creates work for admins who need to explain this to confused users. We understand your frustration that this has not been fixed; however as a non-critical error it has been cut from prior updates. In response to your feedback, we’ve reopened the discussion about the bug, so it’s possible it may make it above the cut line in a future review, but for now the recommended workaround is to tell users to ignore the error unless they’ve encountered a problem deleting a specific item.
