Hello everyone, hello The_Exchange_Team Exchange Team Blog Exchange @exchange
I would like to clarify a point regarding Exchange Server Subscription Edition (SE) licensing.
We are an LSP partner using MPSA / EA, and when reviewing the monthly updated MPSA product list, we only find the following on-prem Exchange items:
- Exchng Svr Std Svr SL
- Exchng Svr Ent Svr SL
However, we do not see any product explicitly named “Exchange Server Subscription Edition (SE)”, even though Microsoft officially announced that SE replaces Exchange Server 2019 as the on-premises version.
My questions are:
Are Exchng Svr Std Svr SL and Exchng Svr Ent Svr SL the commercial names used in MPSA for Exchange Server SE?
Is the SE model reflected through licensing terms (subscription + SA) rather than through a new SKU name?
Is there any official Microsoft confirmation explaining this naming continuity in MPSA?
Any clarification or official reference would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
