Sorry, I'm a bit confused. I read through the link (above) to SharePoint SE licensing. ("The licensing model used by Exchange Server SE is the same as https://www.microsoft.com/licensing/terms/productoffering/SharePointServer/EAEAS")
If I have a single hybrid Exchange 2019 licence with say 10 CALs on Windows Server 2019 with one Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 and 10 Microsoft Business Premium, in order to migrate to a single Exchange SE on Windows Server 2025 and be properly licenced, I'd need to:
1. get a 10 CAL suite (or other),
2. in-place upgrade the existing single hybrid Exchange 2019 to SE (for "free" because of my Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 subscriptions),
3. get an Exchange SE SA, (or a second Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 for a month?)
4. then build a second Exchange SE on Windows Server 2025,
5. move over to the second hybrid Exchange SE server,
6. tear down the original Exchange 2019 server.
Am I understanding this correctly?
