It is not only about new features but the main pain is that most customers according to https://www.bsi.bund.de/SharedDocs/Cybersicherheitswarnungen/DE/2024/2024-223466-1032.pdf?__blob=publicationFile&v=7 using Exchange 2016 and 2019 and Server 2016 and 2019. I would like to emphasize that I am not saying current versions are insecure by default, since updates are still flowing. But the supportability is degraded by design.
Each OS and Exchange itself being out of Mainstream Support. This means business critical support is no longer and no longer reasonably given to usual customers, especially SMB / SMC that do not have access to support using Enterprise Agreement Unified Support.
