The changes in the updated Exchange 2010 Monitoring Management Pack include:

  • Fixes to Alerts – at times two events were logged for the same event.
  • Ensure Correct Values are read.
  • Log the event on local server where the TS is running.

Here is a location of the updated Management Pack: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=692 (short: https://aka.ms/ex2010mp)

Note: When you upgrade from the previous Management Pack and you have a Language Pack installed there is no need to update the Language Pack. If you want to update the Language Pack you need to uninstall the previous Language Pack and install the new one.

Thanks,

Exchange Team

Version 2.0
  • Is this the correct version number? The MP I have currently installed shows 14.2.71.0, I'm a little confused with what I am seeing.

    Version:

    14.03.0038.004

    Date published:

    8/31/2012

  • @Jeffrey

The new management pack has the version number 14.3.38.4 if you take out the zeros in front of the actual numbers. It depends on who is listing the version number if they tuncate the extra preceeding 0's.

  • Does this re-release still quarantine mailboxes?

  • No, this release should not cause the mass-quarantine issue which originally got it pulled down. Please let us know and call into support if you do run into the same issue again.

  • @Brian,

I saw several warning messages in even log regarding "correlation engine service" after installing the newer MP on SCOM 2012 (with RU2)

  • Does a dismounted recovery database still affect the SLA reports negatively?

  • @Brian,

Terrible comment, will you offer me a job if this happens to me again?

1 or 0, yes or no, your comment does not give me confidence,
