I get error 1619 for exchagneserver.msi when installing a mailbox server role E12 on Windows 2003 enterprise 32 bit machine.
Win 2003 enterprise 32 bit (in a domain but not the domain controller)
Logged in as domain administrator
I tried to open this file directly, but get the same error.
Event logs:
application: Ms installer event id 11708 'installation failed' message
system: nothing
security: nothing
monad: warning event 103 (2 consecutive events)
info event 400 (1 event)
info event 600 (8 consecutive events)
Monad event 103 has many messages like: The file "C:WindowsTempExchangeSetupDotNetTypes.format.mshxml" cannto be loaded. The execution of scripts is disabled on your system. Please see "get-help about_signing" for more details.
I do not have the Feb 2006 CTP of the Windows SDK installed (web serarch led me to that install for the 'get-help about_signing' message).
The MS installer message text is:
Opening package PATHexchangeserver.msi" failed. This package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package. Error code is 1619.
