notlien_ After basic auth is permanently disabled, Outlook for Windows will stop working as a POP/IMAP client for Office 365. There is not plan to add modern auth support to Outlook at this time. You'd have to move to a different POP client (for example Thunderbird) or alternatively use the new "send from alias" support (in preview) to keep using Outlook with a more modern protocol. MartinN1983 That will not work, because the way that we disable basic auth takes precedence over authentication policies. In other words - if we disable the protocol, auth policies cannot be used to enable basic auth on specific accounts.
