I'm confused. I received on October 2th MC441440, but today I received MC442087 with this message:
Message Summary
Approximately 7 days from today, we’re going to turn off basic authentication in your Exchange Online tenant.
How this will affect your organization
As we communicated last year in blog posts and earlier this year with multiple Message Center posts, we are now turning off basic authentication in our worldwide multi-tenant service for the following protocols: MAPI, RPC, Offline Address Book, Exchange Web Services, POP, IMAP, Exchange ActiveSync and Remote PowerShell.
Today we selected your tenant, and in approximately 7 days, we will disable basic authentication for any protocol not opted-out prior to September 30, 2022.
Any clients or applications still using basic authentication with the affected protocols will be unable to connect to Exchange Online.
We are not changing any settings for SMTP AUTH or turning off SMTP AUTH.
I need to run the process for extend the basic authentication?
