@Greg Taylor - EXCHANGE Lots of tenants don't use Basic Auth for day to day needs and have had it disabled by Microsoft at some point. Then they need to do a migration and that requires Basic Auth to be enabled for a short term. Hopefully, vendors finally take the need to update applications to use modern auth before the end of the year 🙂
The DIAG re-enable allowed for us doing migrations to easily resolve the issue. It doesn't make sense to disable this function for September. Why couldn't it just re-enable the service as it has in the past and add the function of putting in an Opt-out request or in Oct when Microsoft disables it for everyone that didn't opt-out, have it disable for anything enabled before Sept?
I have tried to open a support ticket to have it turned back on, but they don't seem to understand how it is supposed to work either, as I was referenced to use the DIAG tool to re-enable. I tried to explain that it has been disabled already on the backend and the DIAG tool no longer works and referenced the Summary of timelines and actions in this article. But they didn't seem to know how it could be re-enabled on the backend. Any advise on what to say to support to help them along?
