Hi, I have Exchange Kiosk plan mail accounts with my Office 365 users and have been using Microsoft Outlook as the mail client over POP3.
This combination (Microsoft's main mail client used with Microsoft's e-mail service!) is going to be unusable with this upcoming Office 365 change as Microsoft Outlook doesn't currently support modern auth with POP3.
It would be much appreciated if Microsoft could add modern auth support in Outlook for POP3 and IMAP so it can continue to be used as a mail client for all Office 365 mail plans.
Otherwise, the alternative is to switch to a different client like Thunderbird that does support modern auth with POP3 or set up an intermediate mail server that fetches mail using modern auth and makes it available to Outlook clients using POP3 (of course, using SSL) and basic auth.
Regards,
Tim
