First of all, thanks a lot for wasting a couple of hours of my life with your hostile behavior towards your own customers.
It looks like I will stop being a customer before october 1st 2022.
I am using the Oulook application with the POP3 protocol for over 20 years now. I can't switch to using Microsoft 365, Outlook 365 or Exchange authentication because:
- It does not allow me to use my existing .PST data file with all my existing emails. It creates a new data file in Outlook when I setup my email account using those protocols.
- It does not allow me to configure automatically deleting emails from the server once downloaded locally to my PST file, like POP3 settings support.
If you guys were a bit smarter, you would have made sure to support POP3 OAuth authentication in your Outlook application. Right now you are recommending Thunderbird. Perhaps your upper management needs to take a look at this; I doubt they'll be happy with it.
So anyway, if I don't find any solutions to the above problems, I'll be moving on to another email provider.
And again, thanks a lot for wasting hour of my time by disabling POP while I am using it very day. And for not letting your support agents know what the hell is going on, because they sure as hell don't seem to know about your plans to stop supporting POP.
