ConnectorsTeamScrnx - the team that own reporting services will be publishing info on using their api with oauth soon.
Paul Robinson - that will keep working, it's using authenticated smtp, we're only turning it off for people not using it already to protect them from mis-use.
BrandonDBC - no, once we disable basic auth for IMAP in your tenant, it's off. Your policies will do nothing from then on, it will be off, off. So you will need to upgrade the app to use oauth, or it will not be able to use IMAP.
kguelzau - if you want to keep using POP/IMAP and SMTP you can - we have no plans to remove them altogether. My comments are meant more as long term directional, and aimed more at developers who need to do more than just send/receive emails.
