No offense but thats not a good answer, there are so many legitimate use cases for these types of services. I have no doubt they will force this because they dont understand what daily use cases are but that doesn't make it smart or the correct choice. When you have suits making these decisions with no understanding of what they actual mean in the field its always going to be this way.
What about website contact forms? Are you going to use the auth app to approve that account every time the token gets renewed?
I am sure there are many many more things I am not thinking of at the moment that will be affected.
In the end it probably wont matter, shills will shill and MS will just pull the trigger and after it shells everyone they will recant, re-enable, provide hack work arounds and on and on.
