Going by the article, any sign-in except ‘Browser’ and ‘Mobile Apps and Desktop Clients’ use basic authentication. When we check the sign-in for our directory synchronization service account, it shows client app as ‘other clients’. App name which appears in sign-ins is 'Microsoft Online Syndication Partner Portal'
PS: We use Microsoft Identity Manager and NOT the AAD Connect due to some code dependencies and MSFT earlier assured the setup will be supported until the year 2026.
Same is true for many SharePoint sign-ins (app name "Office 365 SharePoint Online" i.e. Client App showing 'other clients'
Million Dollar Question - Is our MIM setup is going to break with the change? What about the 'many' SharePoint logins? Since the post only talks about Exchange and EWS, do we need to worry about them?
