Did I miss something here? isnt this release supposed to get around the requirement for a 2k3 GC in a site ? and allow e2k7 to be deployed into a site with only 2k8 R2 DC/GC's present.
Ive been forced into a 2k7 deployment due to a vendor product that wont support 2k10 luckily I still have a 2k3 GC in the site that is due to remove this weekend. I ran the latest exbpa and end up with a critical error linked to here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996599(EXCHG.80).aspx
Site not suitable for E2k7 or E2k10.
Anyone else seen this. am I losing my mind? site has 2 * 2k8 R2 ver:7600 and 1 * 2k3 Sp2 Ver 3790 GC's the 3790 is due to be decom'd asap. When I ran exbpa it stated the above and the 2k3 wasnt a GC, making it a GC and running exbpa again and all is well.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff728623.aspx states Active Directory Supported environments of 2k8 R2. no little & or * saying oh and by the way you should have a legacy GC just to keep the exbpa happy.... ??? help!
Anyone? any input on this?
