An update to the Exchange Server Extended Protection script is now available
Greeting,
I'm reluctant to turn this extended protection feature on for starters, how can I tell if my environment is on Modern Hybrid configuration vs Classic? I do perform mailbox migration from on-prem to O365. I get back, the term 'Get-HybridApplication' is not recognized when trying to identify the hybrid server via EXCH Shell on all my Exchange on-prem servers. Also, do I just run the script with suggested parameters if I have retention policies for automated archiving like below, or just run without any parameters?
Scenario 2: Using Retention Policies for automated archiving of mailboxes
If you are using a Retention Policy containing Retention Tags which perform Move to Archive actions, you should use the script as follows:
