Arindam_Thokder Thanks for your clarification. Ee have external forwarding blocked by default for all users.
The scenario we're running into is that a user X tries to add external forwarding. Of course, this does not work and e-mails are not forwarding but user X don't get any NDR or error message. So they kind of forget about it. In the meantime, all internal users who are emailing that user either directly or via an distribution group get bombarded by NDR to that user and contact ServiceDesk saying "something is wrong when I send an email to user X". We go ahead and investigate and have to remove the forwarding or tell user X to remove the forwarding.
In best of all worlds, also user X would get this NDR. Possible and / or why not?
