Hi Microsoft,
We have successfully implemented the recommended mitigation for CVE-2026-42897 across our environment using the mitigation service. However, we are currently experiencing the known issues associated with this mitigation.
We have followed up to understand when a permanent security update addressing both the vulnerability and these issues will be released. Could you please provide a tentative timeline or ETA for the fix—even a speculative date would be helpful?
At present, the lack of visibility is making it difficult for us to manage internal expectations and is putting us in an awkward position from an operational standpoint.
We would greatly appreciate any update you can share.
