Of course outraged and needing to pay $4,000 for a patch that should have been released while support was NOT in the extended phase. This is really shady of MS to release the patch AFTER they expired support. Anyway...
We are running Exchange 2000 Enterprise as a cluster on 2 Windows 2000 Enterprise servers. If we run the server OS patches, the client OS patches, and an appropriate TimeZonewhateverEXE to move the appointments, BUT DO NOT apply the MS Exchange patch, what happens under different scenarious, such as
1. creating an appointment for myself in my own timezone, a different time zone (US), or a different time zone (NOT US) - that are all on my server
2. the same as above, but where we forward the appointment to someone outside of our exchange environment.
The reason I ask is because in some sitiuations, it may not be necessary to apply that patch....
