If you get stuck at issue of data connector getting disconnected at connector page then you can additionally use below step

Solution :

For parameter input form for the connection to Log Analytics   ---  add a string component to each of the values as well i.e.    WorkspaceId=XXXXXXXXXX       and   ApiKey=XXXXXXXXX   

Provide the parameter key and parameter value as part of the input
