Great post.
We have a new feature we want to develop in our company. I prepare a power point presentation showing how to apply Polyglot Persistence with Azure Data Services. Fort short, using the right tool, for the right task. So in my presentation, I explain polyglot persistence, fear of change, monolithique application vs micro services approach, seperation of concern etc.
But I know we have two individuals with experience building monolithique application. I'm sure they will have a hard time seeing and understanding your diagram. So i expect a lot of resistance from them. I don't think they have any arguments, or any proof. So I want to have additional proof, case study, performance chart that would support your approach.
I expect them to complain. So i want to be prepare. What would you say to make those people believe that cosmos db can actually be use in multiple ways when building something like your shopping cart?
