I understand that phishing resistant mfa is enforced on the admin portals. I have a scenario where the admin account i setup Microsoft Authenticator app phone was lost, other phishing resistant methods are setup like WH4B and passwordless mfa on another phone. However, I am unable to login with the impacted account with any of those methods. Its defaulting back to the original phone even though it has been removed and revoked from the impacted account. I even tried excluding the user from all of the impacting policies but I am still being prompted on that old Authenticator app, despite registering a new method. Is this potentially a bug i should have Microsoft look into, maybe a one-off with my tenant? Anyone reading this I am open to feedback.
