Jorge Lopez I'm hoping you can help me figure this out. I was following Microsoft's documentation on doing a targeted deployment with a test machine to change it from "registered" to "Microsoft Entra hybrid joined". I do not have AD Connect configured for Hybrid Joined. The original machine was showing up in Azure portal numerous times with different users but all with "registered" status and register column showing "Pending" status.
I manually created the two registry entries described in this article https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/devices/hybrid-join-control regarding the SCP. After doing this the machine successfully shows up in Azure portal as hybrid joined. I then deleted all the other devices on the Azure portal but upon concluding my testing, I deleted the registry entries on the test machine and it started to show up still as hybrid joined but with the $ at the end of its name.
I tried renaming the machine, but it just continues to show as hybrid joined with the new name and still the $ at the end of it. I do not want to alter my existing AD Connect rules as everything is configured per defaults after installing it...we have no custom rules on it and no attributes have been changed...it's a default installation. Is there anything you can think of that I can do to remove this device from Azure portal altogether?
