Again:
1. This change only affects administrators (including break glass accounts).
2. Administrators should be using MFA anyway. If not, why are they administrators?
3. It has no effect on standard Microsoft 365 accounts (but they should be using MFA anyway).
4. If you use MFA, you're all set because all the change mandates is that a MFA challenge is passed before connecting to the Azure properties.
Mandatory MFA Requirement for Access to Azure Sites and Tools
Microsoft’s project to impose a mandatory MFA requirement for access to Azure management tools and sites will start enforcement on or after October 15, 2024. The new requirement will only affect administrator accounts who access Azure sites and tools (like PowerShell). Normal users shouldn’t notice any difference.
