Hi,

 

I am a user (not an admin), so please be patient.

 

I am having issues opening large files from the network. These files routinely take 5 to 10 minutes to open.

 

I was checking my network connections and noticed that IPv6 said "No network access" so I unbinded it by unchecking the box in Properties. I instantly saw gigabit speeds when opening the same files from the network. So that's a major "problem" that IPv6 is somehow causing.

 

Next to test, I followed Microsoft's advice by modifying the regedit to prefer IPv4. I then rebound IPv6 to the network connection and once again saw poor connectivity (albeit better than before).

 

So now I am stuck with unbinding IPv6 from my network connection because it is detrimental to productivity. Windows 10, for what it's worth.
