Hello,

 

Thanks, the script were great materials to begin and adapt to our needs and environment for the migration to Azure Monitor Agent 

 

Still, I'm a bit confused with these changes because "Diagnostics Settings Agents" that sends data to a Storage Account seems to be far less expensive than collecting data with Azure Monitor and sending it to a Log Analytic Workspace (specifically the syslogs).

 

Besides the powerful query tools in Azure Portal, is there any specific pros for migration to Azure Monitor Agent and the "mandatory" Log Analytics Workspace, rather than using Diagnostic Settings?
