MicrosoftNice blog on noncompliance issue but for the error resloution I would like to highlight a point based on settings done in our environment.
We have total 1000(850 devices are working fine) and in which 150 devices with the same error -2016281112 on Required password type setting that was set to "At least numeric" and password length to "6". As per your investigation, dis error could be bcoz of default default type but we dont have such type defined.
Just to note we also dont have any configuration profile applied for windows devices, its just compliance policy set on them.
Would like to know your views on this.
