This is a fantastic walkthrough for setting up AG.

I have followed this and adapted for just a two-node AG. Everything has succeeded except the DBs do not seed across to my second member.

When I run 

--This query allows us to view seeding performance statistics
SELECT * FROM sys.dm_hadr_physical_seeding_stats;

 

The output is blank and the DBs never appear on the second SQL server.
