Hi Steve, thanks for this great update. Question: Will Windows 11 Multi-Session be available in AVD for hybrid environments, or does it continue to be unique for Azure and Azure Local?

    Hi Sven, AVD for hybrid environments will support Windows 11 Enterprise and Windows Server 2016 - 2025. Windows 11 Enterprise Multi-Session is not supported.

      Hi Steve,

      If I am correctly informed, only Windows Server (2016-2025) is supported for AVD for Hybrid Environment, and not Windows 11, correct?

      What about the expected azure costs and required user licenses?

      I agree with David and Joey that Windows 11 Multi-Session is a necessity nowadays. Since this is currently out of scope, I’m curious whether Windows Server (2019/2022/2025) combined with RDS or published apps is supported?

        Yep, like I mentioned above - Windows Server is supported. You use both remote apps and desktops.

      Is there any likelihood that W11 multi-session will be supported in the future? When I saw this announcement I thought it was potentially very useful, but without the multi-session version it's actually pretty much useless - we already have terminal servers and the work required to route them through the AVD broker isn't really worth the effort.

      It's a bit misleading to announce that you will now support AVD on-prem, and only note in the comments that actually the principal AVD offering, the one which most people will want, isn't actually available.
