Great question Jayesh. Apologies for not responding sooner. This is a common concern from data-heavy enterprises. How to move and manage PBs of file storage to the cloud. It’s really going to depend on the situation. A combination of highly efficient network-based data migration that reduces protocal chatter (esp for SMB, or small files, or large file count scenarios) and maximizes data transfer rates by minimizing how much goes over the network, as well as offline transfer might be the best approach.
Azure Data Box is definitely an option to seed the first iteration of a data migration. Komprise recently introduced what we call Hypertransfer, which is designed to minimize the load and optimize WAN performance by 25x over other approaches.

What we’ve found is point tools plus significant professional services has been the historical approach. We’re working closely with the Azure team to deliver software-centric solutions that address both file migration and ongoing file and object data management requirements. Hope this helps.
