This year at Ignite, we’re excited to announce the general availability of three new additions to the Azure Stack Edge product family.
Azure Stack Edge appliances deliver Azure capabilities such as compute, storage, networking, and hardware-accelerated machine learning to virtually any edge location, from traditional data centers to harsh environments. This enables our customers to access the power of the Azure cloud wherever it’s needed, even low bandwidth or high latency environments.
It’s easy to get started with Azure Stack Edge: the appliances are offered as Azure services, and manageable from the Azure portal for a seamless cloud to edge experience. This is just one of the ways that we are helping customers jump start their hybrid strategy.
Let’s take a look at the appliances we’re delivering today:
- Azure Stack Edge Pro with GPU - 1U rack-mountable appliance, optimized for conditions inside a data center or branch location. Now available with 1 or 2 NVIDIA Tensor Core T4 GPUs.
-
Azure Stack Edge Pro R - Ruggedized datacenter-grade appliance with an included NVIDIA Tensor Core T4 GPU, enclosed in a portable transit case designed for operation in harsh environments and remote locations. Optional Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) also available.
- Azure Stack Edge Mini R - Ultra-portable, ruggedized, battery-powered appliance that packs enterprise-class capabilities a device that can be carried in a backpack. Includes a built-in Intel VPU for accelerated machine learning.
