If you are still reading this article, that means you are having an issue with Connect to your data section as below .
[Error 1 - The workspace or the lakehouse specified cannot be found]
This error can occur if AI Search and Lakehouse are not in the same tenant. Please make sure that both services are in the same tenant.
You can check this article to find out more about how to find the Tenant ID.
[Error 2 - Unable to list items within the lakehouse using the specified identity as access to the workspace was denied]
This error occurs for two reasons. In this article, we will demonstrate a situation with system-assigned.
- Make sure your AI Search is in system-assigned identity or user-assigned.
You can find your configuration under AI Search Services > Settings > Identity
Make sure that Status is ON – If using system-assigned.
- Go to your Fabric OneLake Workspace and provide your AI Search service contributor role to the workspace. The process may take 5-15 minutes, please allow some time for it to be processed.
If you would like to use user-assigned, here is an example that you can refer to as an example.
However if you are unable to find your AI Search in your OneLake workspace, make sure to enable the below configuration from Fabric One Lake
Go to "app.powerbi.com" and click the configuration > Governance and Insights > Admin Portal
From the Admin Portal > Tenant Settings > Search “API”
Make sure to enable Service Principals can use Fabric APIs.
